About Consulgent
What are we solving?
Large language models - and the derivative tools built on top of them - have been broadly adopted, but the benefits (so far) have been concentrated in enhanceding the capabilities of existing experts and specialists.
Everyday users cannot use current AI models for complex or unfamiliar tasks, for two distinct - but related - reasons:
Memory Impermanence
Instruction Overanchoring
How are we solving it?
We are not trying to build a smarter AI. We are building an AI project assistant that prioritizes gathering information and providing guidance over executing on-command, enabling users to perform novel, multi-step tasks without needing the deep industry experience required to provide informed instructions:
Memory Impermanence
Instruction Overanchoring
Why does it need to be solved?
Artificial Intelligence (specifically, chat-based LLMs and products built on top of them) are being adopted rapidly, but the benefits of AI are being felt asymmetrically, with 95% of organizations seeing zero returns. The playbook of the successful 5% is to specialize: embedding AI tools into narrow, high-value workflows, not adopting general-purpose tools.2
The concern with this practice is the susceptibility of localized job displacement, without a way for affected employees to quickly execute in new roles. Even if job creation exceeds job losses, resistance from impacted industries will grow, which will limit the benefits of the new technology, as we are starting to see with autonomous driving.3
Consulgent's mission is to unlock artificial intelligence in a way that is not just accessible, but easily harnessed.
